I decided to switch from Blogger. Maybe one day I’ll get around to moving my posts dating back to 2000 to this new one. In the meantime, I’ll try really, really hard to post more regularly.

It’s freaky how all the couples on e-harmony ads look as though they’re related.

We have this tree that blossoms around this time of year. The flowers are a ridiculously bright pink and they look like they’re made of crepe paper. It reminds me of those fake trees we used to make for school play sets.

My mom was here in November and when I described them to her, she said they might be camellias. Could it be? I have no clue. My only camellia reference is from the novel La Dame aux camélias so I’ll have to take my mom’s word for it.

We’re going to a miniature golf place tomorrow. Believe it or not, I’ve never done this before so I’m sure it will be fun for everyone else to watch my lack of coordination. =)

Two of C’s kids are here visiting us. They’re 12 and 14. And they’re both boys. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to relate to them since I’m not that used to be around kids. But they’re the sweetest and smartest kids I’ve ever met.
His oldest son (17) and youngest son (9) are coming at the end of the month. I’m now much less stressed about meeting the other two!

One of my best childhood friends in Brazil is kicking ass as an actress. I’ve known her since 1st grade and I still remember when she started taking acting classes when we were in 8th grade. I saw her last year and she told me about some of the plays she had been on and a few movies that she was working on but I never really realized how big they were. I was finally able to TiVo one of her movies. It’s called Maids and it’s an awesome film. It was very strange to see someone you know so well in an actual movie. Then I did a search on Google and realized that she just got a contract to star on a sitcom that’s as popular as Will & Grace. How cool is that?

No big updates to blog about, just in case anyone was actually wondering. Work is still nuts. Things are still going well with C. Scary given my usual track record.

Friendster.com is a pretty good substitute for the now defunct sixdegrees.com. Even though I only have 20 friends on it, I have over 11,000 people on my network. Most of them are amazingly hot guys. What’s not so amazing is the fact that 99.9% are gay. The other .1% is just plain ugly and/or boring. I know, I’m mean…

This is my first attempt to stage a blog comeback. And I won’t even try to change my name to something like “the blog formerly known as coisas & mais coisas”. Nope, I’ll just pretend like nothing happened and start reblogging. For now, there are no major updates other than the fact that I have been working waaaay too much. But I will do my best to not let that get in the way of my comeback.

This is one of those things that you wonder whether the producers did it on purpose. Or it could have been their local contacts messing with them. I helped him get the logo ready for all the posters he had printed (but I must point out that I did not design the logo, one of his students designed it) so I feel like I helped in a very small way (especially since I can’t vote).
