Not sure how to feel about this one but I guess it makes sense. The funny thing is that I’m actually part German (25% - my mom’s dad was from Germany), Italian (25% - my paternal grandmother’s grandparents), Lebanese (25% - my paternal grandfather’s grandparents), and Spanish/French/Brazilian (25% - my maternal grandmother’s grandparents). Yeah, I know. My ancestors slept around (but one could also argue that they were just trying to be good global citizens).

This is one of those things that you wonder whether the producers did it on purpose. Or it could have been their local contacts messing with them. If you’ve been watching Survivor: The Amazon, you know that the name of the women’s tribe is Jaburu (which is indeed the name of a bird). But in Brazil, Jaburu is also slang for “butt ugly chick”. It makes you wonder, doesn’t it?

Ugh, I’m still at work. And I thought things were getting better earlier this week. At least I’m done with all my hiring until July (I hope that’s true). My team grew from 7 to 18 people in the past 4 months. It’s been nuts! Now I need to get all the new people up to speed so I’ll probably still be MIA for a couple more weeks.
